xTool X1 Laser Engraver
All the Best Lasers, Built into One
The xTool X1 Multi-Laser Engraving and Cutting Machine is an advanced laser processing platform designed for businesses, manufacturers, creative professionals, and entrepreneurs looking to expand their engraving and cutting capabilities. Combining a powerful 55W CO₂ laser with an expandable laser system, the X1 brings cutting, high-speed engraving, glass processing, and metal marking possibilities into one versatile machine.
Instead of investing in separate machines for different materials, users can start with the 55W CO₂ configuration and expand their setup with optional laser sources, including a 20W Diode Galvo, 5W UV, 30W Fiber and 60W MOPA. This modular approach allows businesses to select the capabilities they need today and expand as their production requirements grow.
For businesses working in personalised gifts, signage, jewellery, corporate gifting, acrylic fabrication, handicrafts, promotional merchandise and custom manufacturing, the xTool X1 offers a flexible solution for developing new products and improving production efficiency.
One Platform, Five Laser Sources
Different materials respond differently to laser wavelengths and processing methods. The xTool X1 addresses this challenge with an expandable architecture that supports multiple laser technologies.
-
55W CO₂ Laser: Designed for cutting and engraving wood, acrylic, leather, paper, fabric, and other compatible non-metallic materials.
-
20W Diode Galvo Module: Adds high-speed, detailed engraving with a compact laser spot and a large processing area.
-
5W UV Galvo Source: Designed for precision processing of glass, crystal, selected plastics, and other compatible materials.
-
30W Fiber Galvo Source: Suitable for metal marking and engraving across a range of industrial and commercial applications.
-
60W MOPA Galvo Source: Expands metal processing capabilities, including colour marking on suitable metals, fine detailing and embossing applications.

The optional laser sources allow the X1 to serve multiple applications without requiring a completely separate machine for every process. Availability, compatibility and installation requirements should be confirmed for each configuration.
Hybrid Motion™ – Galvo Speed Meets Gantry Scale
Traditional gantry laser machines are valued for their cutting capabilities and large working areas, while galvo systems are known for their fast, precise engraving. The xTool X1 combines these approaches through its Hybrid Motion™ four-axis flying galvo system.
By coordinating the X-Y gantry movement with dual galvo mirrors, the system is designed to deliver engraving speeds of up to 6,000 mm/s, while supporting a substantial galvo processing area of 615 × 320 mm.
This combination is particularly useful for businesses producing personalised products, detailed graphics, promotional merchandise and multiple items in batches. A larger processing area also provides greater flexibility when working with oversized designs or arranging several smaller products in a single job.
The maximum advertised processing speed depends on the installed laser source, material, design, and operating conditions. Actual production speed will vary with the selected settings and job requirements.
Powerful 55W CO₂ Laser for Cutting and Engraving
The 55W CO₂ laser is the foundation of the xTool X1 platform. It is designed for applications requiring both detailed engraving and substantial cutting capability.
With a maximum advertised cutting capacity of up to 18 mm basswood and 20 mm acrylic under suitable conditions, the X1 can support a range of fabrication and creative projects. Actual results depend on material composition, thickness, quality, colour, focus, settings, and the number of passes required.
Suitable applications include:
- Acrylic nameplates, signs and display boards
- Wooden décor, MDF projects and personalised gifts
- Custom packaging, paper products and craft components
- Leather tags, accessories and promotional products
- Decorative panels, stencils and model-making components
- Personalised corporate gifts and event merchandise
CO₂ lasers are not intended for directly cutting bare metals in the same way as dedicated metal-processing systems. Material compatibility should always be checked before processing.
High-Speed Precision with the 20W Diode Galvo Module
Adding the optional 20W Diode Galvo Module introduces a high-speed engraving solution for detailed graphics, fine text, logos and personalised designs.
With advertised processing speeds of up to 6,000 mm/s, the module is designed for work where detail, positioning and productivity are important. Its galvo-based processing system is particularly useful for intricate artwork and repeatable engraving jobs.
Potential applications include branded merchandise, decorative components, customised accessories and selected coated or compatible materials. The actual suitability of a material depends on its composition, coating, and the laser's wavelength.
For businesses that handle a combination of cutting jobs and fine engraving, the CO₂ and Diode Galvo configuration provides a broader workflow than relying on either technology alone.
Optional 5W UV Laser for Glass and Crystal Engraving
The optional 5W UV Galvo Source is designed for precision processing of glass, crystal, and selected plastics. UV laser processing can enable fine details on suitable materials and is particularly relevant to personalised products where visual quality and intricate artwork matter.
Potential applications include:
- Crystal awards and trophies
- Personalised glass keepsakes
- Corporate gifts and commemorative products
- Decorative glass items
- Customised products for weddings, celebrations and events
The X1 advertises an enlarged glass inner engraving capability compared with conventional UV systems, opening possibilities for larger crystal projects and batch processing.
Its published glass inner engraving specifications include a processing region of 600 × 300 mm for the top 50 mm and 60 × 300 mm at depths of 50–100 mm, at a stated refractive index of 1.54. These specifications are configuration- and material-dependent.
Glass cutting, curved-surface engraving, and rotary processing depend on the specific material, setup, and supported operating method. Testing is recommended before commercial production.
Optional 30W Fiber and 60W MOPA Lasers for Metal Applications
The optional 30W Fiber and 60W MOPA laser sources expand the X1 platform into metal marking and engraving applications. These options can be relevant to jewellery businesses, industrial workshops, promotional product manufacturers and companies offering customised metal products. Depending on the material and process, applications may include engraved nameplates, serial numbers, logos, identification markings, decorative metal items and personalised gifts.
The 60W MOPA configuration additionally supports suitable colour-marking applications on compatible metals and advanced metal processing workflows. Results depend on the metal grade, surface finish, processing parameters and design.
The platform also advertises metal embossing over an area of 415 × 225 mm when used with the specified dust hood. This can support larger decorative metal projects and batch production.
Direct metal cutting capability and material thickness depend on the selected laser source and the manufacturer's approved process specifications. The appropriate configuration should be selected according to the intended application.
Large Working Area for Commercial Production
The xTool X1 is designed to accommodate larger projects than many compact galvo engraving systems. Its main surface engraving area measures 615 × 320 mm, providing room for larger designs and multiple smaller products in one setup. This is useful for businesses looking to improve batch production and reduce repeated material positioning. The platform also supports rotary engraving, with a maximum advertised engraving diameter of 110 mm, depending on the compatible rotary setup and product geometry.

Automated Creation System™ for Easier Operation
The xTool X1 features the Automated Creation System™ (ACS™), designed to simplify setup and reduce manual adjustments. Its triple-camera system includes an 8MP overview camera, a 12MP close-up camera, and a ranging camera. Camera positioning, autofocus, and LiDAR-based ranging are intended to help users position artwork and establish working height more efficiently.
The AutoLift Base automatically adjusts the bed height, while the camera-assisted workflow helps reduce guesswork during material placement.
These features can be especially useful for businesses handling repeated custom orders, where accurate positioning and consistent setup are important. As with any laser system, users should verify alignment and run suitable tests before processing valuable materials.
Atomm AI and xTool Studio Software
The X1 works with xTool Studio and supports compatible design files, including SVG, DXF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP and TIF.
Connectivity options include USB and Wi-Fi, with software support for Windows, macOS, and compatible mobile devices, including Android, iOS, and iPad. The platform's Atomm AI ecosystem is designed to make creative workflows more accessible through design generators, project ideas, tutorials and material recommendations. Advertised resources include more than 130 generators, 60,000 projects and 10,000 exclusive creations.
