Wellbots’ Insights from the CES 2023
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES®), the biggest and most prestigious technological event in the world, acts as a proving ground for cutting-edge innovations. Here, the biggest brands in the world transact business, form new alliances, and share the stage with the most brilliant innovators. CES, which features all facets of the IT sector, is owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA®). Over 115,000 people attended this wonderful celebration in 2023, making it the largest public gathering since the pandemic began. Businesses and IT users look to CES for innovation and inspiration even as they struggle with economic, political, and epidemic difficulties.
The Wellbots team attends the annual Consumer Electronics Show every year to remain abreast of technological advancements and choose the greatest goods.
Here are our observations at CES 2023:
The opening keynote address at CES 2023 was given by John May, Chairman and CEO of John Deere, who described a new era of farming with technological developments that will help to secure food security for the expanding global population. According to May, "doing more with less is the route forward" since technology enables farmers to produce more with fewer resources.
In her preshow keynote speech, Dr. Lisa Su, the Chairman and CEO of AMD, unveiled a wide range of new AMD technologies that will support hybrid work, gaming, adaptive computing, and more. Dr. Su stressed the importance of adaptive computing in advancing healthcare, the metaverse, space exploration, and entertainment while consuming less energy to build a more sustainable world. She also emphasized her philosophy that "technology should do good."
The CTA emphasized the social and environmental effects of technology as one of its top priorities this year. Making sustainability a priority was the word of the day. Every firm talked about the sustainability of their products, from Asus' boast that it has utilized 1,500 tonnes of recycled plastic in its devices since 2017 to Samsung's work with Patagonia to minimize microplastics in the water supply. AMD Lisa Su stressed the increased energy efficiency of her company's CPUs in her keynote speech, while John Deere said he intended to use less chemical fertilizer in his new robot planter.
24 nations, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, and the European Union, received the highest ranking of "Innovation Champion" (EU).
The 2023 CES was overflowing with intriguing products, with established major manufacturers like Samsung and Sony displaying stunning TVs and concept cars while more recent newcomers like Neutrogena and John Deree dazzled observers with their inventions.
The focus on portable power storage, which could range from basic power packs to sophisticated power stations that could link to solar rooftops or portable ones, was another area of focus at CES 2023. A battery-powered refrigerator with an ice maker, a portable, an improved model of its battery-powered air conditioner, and several other inventions were introduced by Ecoflow. Jackery, a global pioneer in cutting-edge portable power and environmentally friendly outdoor energy solutions, introduced its most cutting-edge portable solar generators to complement the premium Pro line, which includes the 3000 Pro and 1500 Pro. The B300S and matching inverter series were the biggest news from Bluetti.

CES 2023 saw fewer robot vacuum makers present than the previous year, but Roborock nonetheless unveiled the S8 series, its best-ever Robovac and handheld MopVac, which has powerful suction and can handle all surfaces. The new RockDock Ultra is included with the S8 Pro Ultra, adding even another element of branding from Roborock to their already impressive list. It automatically washes the mop, empties the dust bin, refills the mopping tank, and cleans the mop at the end of the cycle, just like the dock that comes with the S7 Max V.

Massage chairs and comfort devices caught the attention of many visitors, as people queued in front of Bodyfriend’s exhibition at CES. It had two brand-new products, Quantum Rovo Light Care and Eden, publicly available. To care for users' scalp and facial skin, Quantum Rovo Light Care has light therapy integrated in to the massage chair's headrest. Eden is made of flexible materials, enabling the chair to display a fully flat mode that enables consumers to get massages while lying down on the appliance. In the second half of this year, the business stated it intends to release the two versions in the US.

With its 97-inch OLED TV capable of a high 4K quality picture and an incredibly smooth 120Hz presentation of games and movies, LG most likely made the biggest splash at CES. That enormous TV uses LG's incredible OLED implementation, but its complete wirelessness is what makes it so appealing (well, except for the power cord). That's right, you can stop fumbling with a zillion HDMI wires hidden behind your home cinema system and try to make it look neat by securing them with zip ties and similar items.
Additionally, Samsung arrived with a 77-inch QD-OLED. This should help Samsung compete with LG TVs and hopefully drive down pricing overall. OLED is largely regarded as the greatest picture technology. Last but not least, Samsung's Premiere 8K projector could essentially transform any wall into a screen as large as 150 inches, despite not being a TV. Even individuals who live in small apartments could get a high-quality projector without taking up much space thanks to the low-throw projector's ability to sit just a few inches from the wall.

With automakers like GM and BMW often showcasing concept cars to remind us that they are also tech firms, CES has become more and more of an auto show. However, CES 2023 had several established consumer electronics companies attempt to define how people will spend their time in cars going forward. Sony, which used its keynote to display its Afeela electric vehicle created in collaboration with Honda, has a more ambitious approach to automobiles. In order to recognize and comprehend individuals, Afeela sports 45 cameras and sensors on both the exterior and interior of the vehicle. Many cutting-edge devices and futuristic technology were also displayed. Viewers got a lot to experience, from color-changing cars to smart rings for women.
In-car tech and EVs dominated the CES 2023 with a massive revolution. Consumers were seen constantly embracing EV tech to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and create a sustainable environment. Stellantis and Hyundai-Kia, CES exhibitors, have committed to large EV rollouts. By 2025, Hyundai will sell 23 electric and hydrogen-powered automobile models, and Stellantis anticipates selling 55 electrified cars and trucks in the United States and Europe.

New for 2023, CES is working on the Human Security for All (HS4A) global campaign to promote food security, access to healthcare, personal income, environmental protection, personal safety, community security, and political freedom in collaboration with the United Nations Trust Fund for Human Security and the World Academy of Art and Science.
New inventions on display at CES 2023 aim to improve our world. From start-ups to global brands, companies of various sizes are displaying breakthroughs in a variety of fields, including robotics, food technology, smart homes, digital assets, artificial intelligence, mobility, and digital health. While many products announced at CES won’t be available on the market till later this year, a fair number are already for sale.
CES is a beacon of hope and optimism. The new year begins not just on a good note, but also with the realization that you have the power to make business decisions, take action when motivated, locate collaborators, and forge alliances that could transform your organization or possibly the entire world.
