The Creality Filament System (CFS) features a connection hub at the back, allowing up to four CFS units to be linked together. When fully expanded, it supports up to 16-color printing, eliminating the need for manual painting after printing and enabling vibrant multi-color creations.
When an RFID-tagged filament is loaded, the CFS automatically reads the filament’s type and color and syncs the information directly to the 3D printer screen. For standard filaments without RFID tags, the details can be entered manually. Before printing, the system can automatically select or map suitable filaments for each G-code file to ensure smooth workflow.
The CFS switches filaments smoothly and precisely during multi-color printing tasks. It can also automatically relay to a similar spool when one runs out, minimizing interruptions and reducing material waste. Built-in sensors continuously monitor each filament reel and will pause the print immediately if filament runs out or becomes tangled.
Designed with an airtight enclosure, the CFS protects filaments from absorbing moisture in the air. With the assistance of internal desiccant drying, filaments remain dry throughout the printing process. The system clearly displays temperature and humidity levels and provides timely alerts if humidity becomes too high.
Currently, the CFS is compatible with the Creality K2 Plus and Hi Combo. For compatibility with K1 Series, including K1, K1 Max, K1C, and Ender series printers, the official K1 Series CFS Upgrade Kit is required. The system is not compatible with flexible TPU, damp BVOH/PVA, or warped cardboard filament spools.
