Made for the pack : keep in touch with your crew
Garmin Tread is a rugged powersport GPS that let you explore the unknown in group. When everyone is equipped with Garmin Tread, you can track up to 20 riders at a time and stay connected with push-to-talk mic functionality. The Group Ride Radio does not require cellular coverage, ideal when you are roaming remote areas. Tread is Bluetooth enabled so that you can pair it with your helmet or headset (not included) and enjoy hands-free communication.
A durable companion for all outdoors adventures
Weather should not stop you, nor does it impact Garmin Tread. The device itself is built to military standard 810 (thermal and shock resistance) and is certified IPX7 for water-resistance. Visibility is always on top, under the sun or the moon, thanks to the ultrabright 5.5” glove-friendly touchscreen. Easily mount Tread according to your preferences, either in portrait or landscape mode, with the included mounting kit. The mount is designed to resist the bumpiest rides on roughest terrains.
A best-in-class navigation system : know where to go and where to stop
Not only Garmin Tread gives you access to preloaded topographic and street maps of North America, but it also includes U.S. Forest Service Roads and trails and Motor Vehicle Use Maps. You can always find a way to ride with your full-sized 4x4, side-by-side, ATV or motorcycle. Also, know exactly where to stop thanks to the displayed public land boundaries for national forests, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), wilderness areas and more. Private land boundaries and landowner information is also available for parcels greater than 4 acres. Satellite high-resolution imagery is available via Wi-Fi connectivity without subscription required. Looking for a point of interest or a public campground? Tread comes with preloaded iOverlander app and let you locate the perfect spot, without the need of cell signal.
Back to civilization? Garmin Tread will be your guide for on-road navigation too with spoken turn-by-turn directions, alerts for sharp curves, red light, speed cameras, and more.
Smart Features : Tread app and expandable features
Garmin Tread is more than a GPS. It features built in ABC sensors such as altimeter, barometer, compass and pitch/roll gauges. It is compatible with your Garmin InReach for global satellite communication. Live weather is available when pairing Tread either with InReach or with your smartphone. The Tread app gives access to storm alerts and animated radars, but also a built-in media player to listen to your favorite songs. Once back home, use the app to import and share GPX files or sync waypoints, tracks, routes and collections across your devices, including smartphone, computer and Tread navigator.
Garmin Tread features are expandable with other devices. We already mentioned Garmin InReach. Tread can also be used with a wireless camera or Garmin PowerSwitch, a digital switch box that enable wireless on-screen control for your 12-volt electronics (light bars, locks, and much more).
